Have you ever sat and thought about the reason you exist? Why you were created? What you are suppose to accomplish? Who were you meant to be? Have you been an inspiration? As you reach a certain age these questions tend to flood your brain. Somedays you think you have the answers and some days you couldn't answer them if your life depended on it. First answer most people would give is that you were made out of love between your mother and your father. Created because God wanted you here and He had a plan for you. Here to accomplish getting married and having a family just to complete the circle of life. You were meant to be happy if that means being a mother and then a grandmother and if you're blessed a great grandmother. You are here to be an inspiration to your loved ones and to your friends, and maybe even to acquaintances. So, when one or more of these things do not happen was that in the plan? How about if you succeed in one or two areas in the best way, but fall short in others. What if you accomplish them all but feel as if your happiness was jeopardized because the plan was never completely yours.
I'm not writing this to show you how I'm feeling right now, I'm writing just to see if these questions ever cross your mind. Most likely when you were a child the most you were worrying about is if you were going outside for recess or if they were having your favorite pizza for lunch. As you reached high school somethings began to be more important. You still weren't worried about marriage or having a family. You probably weren't even thinking about the who, what, when and why. You may have been getting close to who you may marry or who you wanted to be but those dreams would possibly change over time. Moving forward through college or jobs, relationships or friendships, time starts to speed up. At any point, as a young adult, you may have started to realize who you wanted to be. Just by starting your career or your next step in life. Now you're adulting! Sometimes facing the saying two steps forward and three steps back. Before you know it, you're my age (late 40's) and you're wondering where all that time went. Now, the question "what have I accomplished" scares you. Maybe you graduated college and hopped straight into that job you wanted. Being successful and making a difference wherever you landed. Maybe you started a family and had the greatest success raising your munchkins and by the grace of God they are all alive and are upstanding members of society.... and maybe life continuously kicked you while you were down and you haven't figured out your next steps, YET! In your heart, what does success mean to you? All these questions can make you think, hopefully some make you smile and hopefully the some that make you sad show you the struggles that built you. All of which make you, YOU! Stayed tuned....there is a lot more thinking to do! Just another daily dose of T!
