In every girls life she hopes and prays for a best friend that she can laugh with, cry with, share her dreams, failures and secrets with. My mom gave me that gift when she brought my little sister home. She has always been my built in best friend. Yes, sometimes she was the annoying little sister, steal my clothes, hair stuff or toys, try to get me in trouble because I was on the phone past the shut off time but more times than not she was so fun to grow up with. My neighbor and I taught her how to read and write before she went to kindergarten. We loved to play school with her and she was very smart! Her and I spent many nights in bed together or with just a wall between us. Most Christmas Eve's or Easter Eve's we would lay in bed with our legs up on the wall being silly because the excitement of waking up to Christmas presents or Easter baskets would keep us awake all night. We had an uncle that called her Step on my knee and she also had the nickname of "Bones" because she was always such a skinny, scrawny little girl. She was very shy and backwards as a child but that changed in her adult life. When I was a teenager she would follow my friend and I to places we weren't suppose to be and ofcourse we had to take her or she would probably squeal on us. She was always my best alibi but would also throw me under the bus if i hogged the only phone in the house! She always had the most beautiful blue eyes and long brown hair. She is a beautiful person inside and out. I knew she would be a wonderful mom because she wanted to work with children at an early age. One of her first and second jobs was working at a daycare teaching young children to read and write. When she did become a mom she was wonderful at it. I was so proud of the mom she was and still is. She continues to show her children love and guidance. She also loves her puppies the same way. She would also take in any stray if they wanted love too....and I'm not talking about dogs or cats, but kids! My sister always has a "stray" or two at her house. She would give her last penny or hug to any of those children just to show she cares or make them feel better. She always includes those children in her family excursions and treats them like her own. She is a very giving person in general and thinks about everyone before herself. She would also go out of her way to help any of her friends or family in need. I am so proud of the mom, friend, sister, daughter and woman she has become. Her intelligence and drive, patience and work ethic, compassion and skill set continue to amaze me every day. I am truly blessed with an amazing sister and friend. I hope you have a little insight of who my sister is and how great she really is. There are so many great memories I could talk about, but I would be here for days! Just adding another daily dose of T.
Such a lucky girl
